Little ‘Smoke’ from Electronic Cigarettes
No one wants to experience the hazards brought by smoking cigarettes, but not almost all smokers would want to quit smoking. Even if they knew what smoking would bring to their life, they would still smoke and quitting would not be an option for them. But what if they had the chance to smoke electronic cigarettes?
Never did I hold in my hand one of those electronic cigarettes, but based from what I read, they’re still quite a treat for smokers. I believe they run on cartridges and lighting them up would not require you to burn matches or light a lighter, while instead of smoke, vapor comes out from them.
There was one time when I saw a complete stranger smoking. I did have a stick of cigarette on my hand but forgot to bring with me my lighter, so I went to him and tried to ask if I could light up from the ember of his cigarette. He smiled and said that he can’t. I was a little surprised because normally, smokers would instantly give their cigarette to a stranger requesting to have a light. But he then stated that he’s using an e-cig, and that was the first time I actually saw one.
Because of my curiosity, I did observe how he smoked using such device and what the smoke looked like as he puffs out what he inhaled through it. I was a little far away (around 10 meters or so) from him so I really didn’t know the exact way of how his electronic cigarette works, but I think the smoke that he exhaled was a little less than what you would expect from an ordinary smoker bringing out clouds of smoke after puffing genuine cigarettes.
He did own a black electronic cigarette, and at ten meters away, he really looked like he was smoking real ones. Then I saw a very popular Philippine rock star who smoked electronic cigarettes, and honestly, I’m not satisfied with the amount of smoke/vapor it did produce, but it was something that proved to be a healthier choice, so may I may consider using such device in the future when I quit smoking. By the way, I think it’s a little more appropriate to say that these people are ‘vaping’ instead of smoking, since they exhale vapor and not smoke.
